Proven Day Trading Tips

These four proven day trading tips will help you get an edge and give you consistent profits in the stock market. They all seem to be common-sense straight forward advice. However, I have seen many day traders ignore them and end up losing money big time.

Day trading tips number one is "do not over trade". Your must remain disciplined at all times and wait for the right trades to come. Trust your system and once you identify the best trade of the day, then go for it! You should stick to trading only one or two times a day. Your key to long term success and consistent profit is to make a couple of large trades daily as opposed to many small trades.

Daytrading tips number two is "trade only when you are in a positive state of mind". A happy trader is a winning trader. Never trade when you are tired, upset or moody. Day trading involves making fast instantaneous decisions and when you are not in the right state of mind, it will be hard to make good judgment. Since you will be risking a good amount of money, you do not want your emotions to get in the way.

Daytrading tips number three is "limit your losses". You must have good discipline and are willing to get out of the trade when the trend is turning against you. The name of the game is not about buying and holding the stocks for long haul. You are there to hit and run for fast profit. Trust the tape and when it is time to get out, take you losses and wait for another day.

Day trading tips number four is "practice, practice, practice". Before you get into daytrading for real money in the stock market, you should first of all create a play money account with your broker. Never risk trading with real money when you first start out. Practice trading daily you can consistently profit using play money. You will then be able to day trade for real money and start making money!

Many day traders get frustrated with the market unpredictability and give up. The daytrading market often act differently than they anticipate. Your objective in day trading is to be consistent in trading using the best strategies and systems available. Follow these four proven day trading tips and you are well on your way to become a successful stock day trader.

One of the first steps in learning how to day trade is to educate yourself with everything you can possibly get your hands on.
